My Review of Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara

Is Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara tubing?

Yes Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara is a tubing mascara. You can’t remove it with your regular makeup remover. It uses poly-thermal technology that means it rinses off with warm water.

How to apply it

Clinique recommend using the the inner curve of the brush in a wiggling motion from root to lash tips. Once you have layered up to your desired level, you can flip the brush and press and hold the outer curve of the brush against lashes to set the lift and curl.

Does is smudge or flake?

There has been absolutely no smudging or flaking with this mascara. Once it is on, it’s on and you can pretty much forget about it. Mine survived a full day and a facial, and the lashes still looked curled and lifted.

Is it good for volume?

I would definitely say that Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara is more about lifting and lengthening than it is about volume. It gives lashes a lovely natural looking curled look that is super flattering and looks good all day.

Is it a wet formula?

It is a creamy formula that applies really easily and with minimal mess. I am very messy when it comes to applying mascara and I found this super easy.

The product doesn’t flick anywhere or transfer as you apply it.

Is it waterproof?

This isn’t technically waterproof as you actually need warm water to remove it, but it would certainly last in a downpour, a sweat session and a few lengths of the pool.

Does it hold a curl?

Yes if you want a mascara that gives your lashes a good curl, and it holds, this could definitely be the one for you.

With two coats, I get a lovely curl that lasts all day. I never use lash curlers, and I don’t think I would ever need to with the Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara. Every time I looked in the mirror I felt that my lashes looked pretty and lifted.

How easy is it to remove?

If you are familiar with tubing mascaras, you will find this really easy to remove. All you need to do is splash warm water on to the lashes for a minute or two, and then gently press the lashes to slide the mascara off. You can use fingers or a cloth to wipe the mascara away.

Is it good for short lashes?

I think this is good for short lashes because the brush is great for really pushing up every lash and the formula sets the lift and curl in place really fast.
