BBB London Iconic Tubing Mascara

Rather than being a completely brand new product, the BBB London Iconic Tubing Mascara is an updated and improved version of one of the brand’s best-sellers. It is their “original mascara, recalibrated”. I have been testing it out. Here’s what you need to know.

My Review of BBB London Iconic Tubing Mascara

I really wanted to test this mascara because I really love the Blink Brow Bar brand and I’ve never managed to test out the original Iconic Lash Mascara.

Also, I have noticed a huge interest in tubing mascaras, particularly among my Instagram audience.

What is a tubing mascara?

Tubing mascaras are different to regular mascara because, instead of layering on pigment to the lashes, it actually wraps around the lashes in tubes.

You don’t remove it with makeup remover, instead you simply wet the lashes with warm water which encourages the mascara to slide off the lashes in tubes that you then wash down the plughole.

This mascara is nice and easy to apply and the slim wand means neat and precise application. I always manage to get the formula of any mascara I use on my lids, but this one was pretty minimal (for me!).

One coat gives super dark definition with a bit of length, and the second builds on more length and nice natural looking volume.

I think the main thing with this mascara is that it literally doesn’t budge until you want to get it off. I always forget when I am wearing a tubing mascara and try to break it down with my cleansing balm. But that won’t do it.

You basically need to sloosh your eyes with warm water and then gently tease the tubes off the lash. You can do this with your fingertips, but gently wiping with a wet flannel feels a bit less like your pulling your eyelashes out!!

It all comes off beautifully and you are guaranteed no panda eyes the next morning because it’s all gone.

If you want a good mascara that lengthens, volumises and separates, and doesn’t smudge, budge or flake, you can’t really go wrong with the BBB London Iconic Tubing Mascara.

  • Which of the tubing mascaras do you like the most? I have the Hourglass and I like the straight brush, so I’m thinking of trying the BBB. I find that the Hourglass deposits too much product.

    • if you want something with lighter application, both the BBB and the VB ones could be good for you xx
