I was probably a little bit predictable when I homed straight in on the Pillow Talk shade in the Tilbury new lipstick formula, but hey, it’s such a perfect shade. Here’s a look at the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Superstar Lips lipstick. I have photos and swatches for you.

What is Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Superstar Lips lipstick?

So this new formula is all about the the high shine of a gloss with the staying power of a lipstick. Pillow Talk as a shade is an absolute phenomenon in the beauty world and personally I want it every way it comes!

The bullet shade looks deeper than the original Pillow Talk lipstick, but because it has a more translucent formula, the colour payoff delivers the perfect shade of pinky nude.

The formula is lovely. It uses polymers to create a soft, silky film to give lips a gorgeous shiny, juicy finish with a light feel thanks to the emollient oil it contains. Diamond Powder gives the look of radiance and waxes give a cushiony feel, while Hyaluronic acid and Peptides plump and stimulate collagen respectively.

It is literally the most gorgeous glossy nude. It’s so easy to wear, lasts longer than your average gloss and feels super moisturising. It will be perfect as we move into the colder months.

By the way, I learnt a really cool little trick from the makeup artist that was assisting Patrick Ta for La Mer earlier this month. She said to use a wipe or micellar on a cotton pad to gently remove foundation from the lips before applying lip colour. This ensures you achieve the true colour finish of your lip product. It’s really obvious but I know I have gone wrong with this a lot!
