The second I read about this product I knew I had to try it. I love cleansing and I love balms and the idea of a liquid balm you pump, just really does it for me. The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Balm is one of my all time faves and I kind of imagined that this would be similar in texture. It is, which I am very pleased about. I’m yet to not love a Zelens product so it’s all looking good. Here’s the scoop on the Zelens Z Pure Cleansing Liquid Balm.
So this is a Shiso-infused cleansing liquid balm. I’ll be honest. Until now I had no idea what Shiso was but I am reliably informed (by the internet) that it is a Japanese mint high in omega-3 fatty acids and is highly-anti-oxidant. It helps maintain moisture, protect the skin’s natural barrier and has strong anti-inflammatory action.
It’s just one of many different actives contained in Zelens Z Pure Cleansing Liquid Balm.
Zelens Z Pure Cleansing Liquid Balm Active Ingredients
- Vegetable Squalene – antioxidant that replenishes and prevents moisture loss
- Perilla (Shiso) Oil – rich in omega-3 fatty acids, moisturises and protects with anti-inflammatory benefits
- Glycerin – naturally derived from plant oils and attracts moisture into the skin
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – excellent skin repairing properties
- Shiso Leaf (Perilla Japanese Mint) – anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothes sensitivities
- Rosemary oil – potent anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties, excellent for congested skin
I have been using this for nearly a week now but I was utterly convinced after the very first use. I love the gel-oil texture and the smell is amazing. After cleansing with this, my skin felt hydrated, super smooth, ultra clean and completely detoxified. I sometimes get little bumps under the skin on either side of my chin that you can’t see but can feel, and they seemed dramatically reduced almost instantly. A few days later and I can’t really feel them at all.
It feels a bit like getting new skin! Also, my skin literally glows afterwards which of course I love. This combined with the fact that it is such a delight to use – it literally feels like a glossy silk being smoothed over my skin – really does make it the stuff beauty dreams are made of!
Zelens Z Pure Cleansing Liquid Balm is £50 which is a lot of money for a cleansing balm but not only does it do its job impeccably it’s a skin changer that leaves skin super moisturised and hydrated too. Find it at Space NK HERE.
