Right!! I am more excited about this than I am going to be able to get across I think!! I nearly died when YSL announced they were launching a Touche Eclat foundation (especially as they invited me to Paris for the launch) and here is YSL’s next step in foundation perfection. Check out YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation!!!!!

YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation

The reason I am completely over-excited with this already is because I am pretty obsessed with the combination of YSL Youth Liberator Serum as a primer underneath my beloved YSL Teint Touche Eclat foundation. Read about my YSL Radiance Trio.
It is like a complete radiant glow-fest of perfection!!! I am expecting all that and more from YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation. Here are the 2 main things it is all about!
  • Fight 6 signs of ageing with YSL’s exclusive Glycanactif complex – anti-wrinkle, lift, resculpting and radiance action.
  • Colour Tune Up Complex – a blend of pigments that correct the complexion’s colour metrics
It promises instant results from the 1st application as the formula’s stretch texture spreads over the face to smooth the skin without highlighting wrinkles. It hydrates and leaves the skin comfortable and luminous all day (I hope!). It has SPF20 and anti-oxidant Vitamin E too. YAY!
YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation comes in 7 shades grouped into Rosy Beige, Beige and Gold Beige categeories – BR20, BR50, B10, B30, B60, B70 and BD50. It is available exclusively in all House of Fraser Stores on 21st August 2013 and nationwide 4th September 2013. Price £32.

  1. Do you know whether the shades of this foundation exactly correspond to the shades of YSL Touche Eclat Foundation? Have you got a sample of at least your matching shade? How does it compare? The reason I am asking is an obvious shade difference between Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra 24H and Teint Visionnaire: Visionnaire being a full shade darker in every shade number, which is disappointing to me personnally because I am the perfect 005 (the lightest shade) in Teint Idole Ultra 24H. Teint Visionnaire 005 is exactly like 01 in Teint Idole: Lancome are saying this is due to the serum ingredients… I am now worried that “serum ingredients” will make B10 in YSL Youth Liberator Foundation a whole lot darker that my perfect B10 in YSL Touche Eclat Foundation. What is yor guess? Thank you. xx

    1. Thank you. I feel that those in the medium skin tone/shade categories can often mix a lighter and a darker shades for their perfect match. However, I am on the extreme pale side of the spectrum, being N-NC-10. It is rarely that I find a good match in a foundation (like B10 in YSL Touche Eclat). I feel that adding a white mixer, although may rectify a shade match, would somewhat void a good formulation of a particular foundation. And it is the formulation that we pay a premium price for. For example, adding a white mixer into the new YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation would only dilute its potency. Do you agree?

    2. I still haven’t tried myself as my samples have been delayed but word from YSL is that the serum does make it a but darker, however this foundation has shade matching technology which adapts to your skintone.

    3. Dear Ree, I have just bought my bottle of Youth Liberator Serum Foundation in House of Fraser Metrocentre. In swatches on the back of my hand B10 is exactly the same shade as B10 of Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation. The new foundation promises a higher coverage. I will be applying it tomorrow morning. Very exciting! xx
