If you are looking for a luxury lip balm that nourishes, gives you juicy and full-looking lips and has incredible envy-inducing packaging, then you need to have a little look at this. YSL have not only improve the formulation of the sheer, glossy lipsticks with an oil-enriched formula, but also included a gorgeous clear balm in the line up. Here’s a look at the new YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Stick Balm.

I first wrote about the new Oil in Stick formulation in November last year when I was introduced to the 12 new shades and the oil enriched formulation.

There are now 30 colours in total to choose from – one of which is this clear balm No42 Baume Midi Minuit – which has a very very soft gold and pearlescent shimmer. I have been using it for the first time this week, and I literally can’t put it down.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Stick Balm Features
- Uses a blend of 6 oils
- Pomegranate extract
- Macadamia butter
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Easy glide on formula
- Melting texture
- Smooths and moisturises lips

Because the packaging is so pretty, and it’s from a colour line rather than a traditional care line, you might not expect it to be that effective for dry and chapped lips. But this product is way more than just a pretty face. It feels super soothing on the lips, delivers long lasting moisturisation and just makes my lips look good in a flash.

Something about the soft pearlescent pigments give my lips a really enhanced, plumped appearance, and because it’s clear you don’t need a mirror to apply it. And of course – it looks so good when you pull it out of your purse!!! This is an example of one of the best lipstick cases out there, in my view.

It is literally the perfect thing to throw in your handbag for when you need a flattering shine and an intensive injection of moisture. Fab.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Stick Balm (No 42) is £26 and available to order online HERE.

I was stuck between this and #44 Nude Lavalliere and ended up getting the latter. It lightens my lips to a perfect light mauve and is incredibly moisturizing! I’ve kept it in my pocket almost every day since I got it. YSL has become my favorite brand for lip products.
