YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collection Review – No19 Fuchsia in Rage

More lip gorgeousness from YSL – this is the new YSL Rouge Volupte Shine.

Before anything else (and there is much more to this) I am just crazy for the packaging. Totally crazy for it. I think this design is possibly my favourite lipstick packaging of all time (bar the leather Givenchy one with my actual name engraved on it!!!). Search my Instagram (ReallyRee) for that one!

But just look at this YSL beauty:

Completely love the way the colour on the case matches the colour within. And speaking of that amazing (isn’t it?) colour within, I have swatches, a lip shot and a full face for you.

As you can see, the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine No19 Fuchsia in Rage is pretty intense and it is one of the bolder colours of the collection that sit around a core of beiges, pinks and coral. Personally, I am absolutely loving this pop of colour and it actually reminds of a sheerer and slightly more everyday version of my fave, the YSL Glossy Stain in No 16 Pourpre Preview.

In terms of formula, I absolutely love it! It is packed full of hyaluronic acid to seal in moisture, antioxidant pomegranate and rice to protect from free radicals and its smooth and creamy texture really softens and soothes the lips.

Although the colour and shine look like they could be a smudging nightmare, both actually hold really well. Once the shine has gone (time dependent on what you are doing) a long lasting stain remains and the lips still feel moisturised. Super!

I am wearing only 2 other items of makeup in the shot above. The Clarins BB Cream in shade 1 (my self tan has faded since I used shade 2 HERE and the DiorShow New Look Mascara in Black. An extremely simple makeup look cos you don’t need much with such amazing lips!
