I featured the brand new Youth Liberator Serum Foundation from YSL at the beginning of the month and now I have finally had a chance to have a proper play with it and guess what?! I’m very happy!! For all the technical info and claims, check out my previous post (link above) but for now, have a little look at my pictures!

YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation Review |
The shade I use in the YSL Teint Touche Eclat foundation is BD40 which is not actually available in the Youth Liberator foundation. So I have shades B30 and BD50 to try. Here are those 2 shades on the back of my hand.

YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation Swatches – B30 and BD50 |
I mixed the B30 and BD50 together (slightly more of the BD50), and found a lovely shade that evened out my complexion really well.
Here’s the before and after photos:

And here is a close up shot of the finish on my skin. As you can see, it is a medium to full coverage that conceals any imperfections very well yet still looks natural. Whilst it has a slightly more matte finish than the YSL Teint Touch Eclat, it is still very luminous on the skin and allows it to glow. I found I didn’t need to use any concealer.

And just to give you an idea of what it looked like on my skin a while after it had been applied, here it is approximately 7 hours later. Sorry about the miserable looking mug shot! I was tired!! But my skin was still looking perky, I’m pleased to report!

YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum Foundation |
Basically, I really love this foundation and it really is everything I hoped it would be. With its SPF20 and YSL anti-ageing ingredients, it is going to be a perfect foundation for everyday. Read more about it on my first YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation post.
YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum Foundation is exclusive to House of Fraser right now for £34. It will be available nationwide from 5th September 2013.

What a beautiful foundation! I found that the Touche Eclat foundation was too light in coverage for my skin so I definitely need to give this a whirl. It looks stunning on you.

I am seriously thinking of purchasing this foundation as I am currently using my YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat and am very satisfied with YSL in general. I do have problems with choosing my shade though. My Le Teint Touche Eclat is B50, what could be the equivalent in the Youth liberator Serum foundation? Would really appreciate your help.
I am a bit stuck on this because they don’t do my shade in the new foundation so I currently mix 2. BD 50 is pictured above to give you an idea. I have heard that they are pretty similar shade wise and that they have adaptive technology too. Does that help?
