When I first laid eyes on the packaging of the new YSL Couture Colour Clutch Eyeshadow Palette I was obsessed! They look more like items from their fashion accessories collection than makeup and I could imagine myself constantly whipping one out of my handbag for a mirror check! I have both colourways here for you. Here’s a look at Paris & Marrakech.

I have a money purse that looks just like this and I adore it! These palettes are made from faux leather but they have the same quilted effect and use the beautiful YSL logo. The shade ranges are pretty diverse in both palettes and I have all the swatches here.

PARIS YSL Couture Colour Clutch Eyeshadow Palette

The first palette is inspired by the home of YSL Beauty, the “City of Lights”. There is a range of metallic gold, silver and coppery bronzes on the left of the palette with matte black and a bright electric yellow for a bold accent of colour. The pinks on the right of the palette have been designed for easy daytime wear – “a nod to the Parisian Golden Hour”.

MARRAKECH YSL Couture Colour Clutch Eyeshadow Palette

This palette is inspired by the rich hues of Marrakech. The blues and turquoises are designed to echo the Majorelle Gardens. They give a pop of vibrancy to the eyes. These are contrasted with amber, burnt orange and dusky rose which were created to evoke the Moroccan sunsets, for a warm-toned daytime makeup. The shades in the middle can amplify your look.

There are such unique shades combinations in both palettes. I really don’t have anything else like them in my collection. That’s not something I can say that often!

I think PARIS is my favourite, but I can see myself using both.
