Well hello gorgeous new mascara from YSL Beauty!!! Tonight I popped along to Cafe Royal to see creative makeup director Lloyd Simmonds demonstrate the fabulous new Baby Doll collection starring the brand new YSL Baby Doll Mascara or, its full name, YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll.

Here is Lloyd Simmonds demonstrating, and keep reading for a photo of it on my lashes.

And this is LLoyd showing what the mascara does!! Love this shot.  He is basically saying that the YSL Baby Doll Mascara gives the lashes a wonderful curl, whilst separating and fanning them out, without weighing them down.

I think this is a pretty good representation of what the mascara does!
Here it is on me after lovely YSL makeup artist Fred applied it for me:

As you can see it is incredibly lengthening and defining. My lashes are practically touching my brows!
YSL Baby Doll Mascara is a really high tech mascara which has a formula protected by 2 patents and combines 3 polymers, soft waxes and an agent that allows the maximum distribution of black pigments for an even colour.  It promises 24 hour hold too.

The brush is pretty special. It alternates thick, widely spaced bristles and finer, more closely spaced bristles to coat and magnify the lashes and define even the shortest lashes respectively. It is built to cover the lashes root to tip.
Lloyds Simmonds’ tips for application? Apply the YSL Baby Doll Mascara in “small successive strokes without pausing between application. Start from the base of the lashes and zigzag towards the tips to ensure better separation. Start at the outer corners of the eyes and work toward the inner corner before gradually building up the lashes.”
I cannot wait to have a go at this myself. YSL Baby Doll Mascara is definitely the one I’ll be wearing tomorrow!
It comes in 4 shades – No 1 Fetish Black, No 2 Wheedler Brown (pictured above), No 3 Audacious Blue and No 4 Indiscreet Purple.
The YSL Baby Doll collection also features Eyeliner Babydoll  in No 10 Light Golden Brown*, No 11 Light Blue*, No 12 Light Amethyst*, No 15 Golden Reflections and No 16 Rose Babydoll.
There is also a Glossy Stain and a Lacque Couture nail polish in Rose Babydoll.
Here is the look that Lloyds Simmonds created for us using the YSL Baby Doll collection:
