Foundation for me is all about a gorgeous, dewy and glowy finish. I want good coverage but luminosity is equally important. The last thing I want is deathly matte. In the past, I have felt that you can only get that dewy finish with liquid foundations and certainly not with mineral powder foundations.
To try and dispel that view, I was invited along to take the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Foundation Challenge and have my makeup done by brilliant makeup artist Kenneth Soh. How could I refuse?
And here is the finished result!
Youngblood Foundation Challenge
As you can see, it is incredibly dewy and glowy whilst giving a lovely even and smooth coverage. I was absolutely thrilled. The products are gorgeous and Kenneth is a wonder! And guess what?! You can take the Youngblood challenge too.
The challenge is now available at Selfridges Beauty Workshop. All you need to do is bring your current foundation and compare it to that of the YoungBlood Mineral range, to experience amazing colour matching and the difference the perfect foundation can make to your overall finish.
While you’re there you can check out the brand new makeup collection from Youngblood Cosmetics – In the Mood for Nude.
Youngblood – In the Mood for Nude
In the Mood for Nude is a beautiful collection that’s absolutely perfect for Autumn. I am totally in love with the eye quad – The Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Moulin Rouge. These are really exciting nudes.
It includes Can-Can, a shimmery caramel-peach; Revue, a brightening pearlized vanilla; Cabarets, a dark chocolate shade with the slightest trace of red shimmer; and Red Light, a matte orange-red. Nudes with a twist!
The collection also features the Incredible Wear Gel Liner in new Sienna, a metallic bronze, that is long-wear and water-resistant. Youngblood have also brought out the long handled Fine Liner Brush, fpr perfect eyeliner application.
For lips – a Lip Liner Pencil in new Au Naturel and a Lipstick in Barely Nude. It is a pinky beige and it is seriously creamy.
I am going to try out the whole collection today so stay tuned for pictures!
