My Review

My Review of Vichy Mineral 89 72Hr Moisture Boosting Cream
My Review of Vichy Mineral 89 72Hr Moisture Boosting Cream

This new cream is a wonderful addition to the barrier-building line up. I have long loved the Vichy Mineral 89 serum. You can read my full review here.

The serum was one of the original ‘Step 0’ skin boosters. It’s one of those products you can use in any skincare routine if you want to up your hydration levels and give the skin barrier some extra support.

The new Vichy Mineral 89 72Hr Moisture Boosting Cream does what the serum does, in that it can slot into any routine, but with added emollients and also the addition of Niacinamide which will work to further boost skin’s ceramide production.

The texture is light but there is still substance, and I think it hits a great balance between sinking in quickly, but still leaving a comfortable emollient finish on the skin.

It will be great under makeup, and of course SPF. This will be the ideal product if you are looking for something soothing and moisture boosting, and it won’t clash with any of your other skincare.

If you wanted to really simplify your routine, you could use the original serum followed by the Vichy Mineral 89 72Hr Moisture Boosting Cream, and then an SPF product for day. If you want to stick with Vichy for that, the Vichy Capital Soleil* is excellent.

If you are looking for a moisturiser with SPF 50 filters and active ingredients to tackle hyperpigmentation, check out my review of Vichy Liftactiv B3 Anti-Dark Spots SPF50 Day Cream.
