When I had my first little play with the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation, I took it straight to my pores and watched them pretty much disappear in front of my eyes. If you have oily or combination skin, or indeed enlarged pores (the bane of my life) then take a look at my review and photos. Here’s everything you need to know.
So what we have here is a skin and makeup hybrid that’s actually a very effective full coverage foundation.
Vichy Dermablend 3D Foundation Features
- SPF25 protection
- Oil-free formulation
- Smooths the skin’s surface
- Minimises the appearance of imperfections
- Salicylic acid works to unblock pores & promote a clearer complexion
- Eperulin – anti-inflammatory, aqueous extract that helps to improve the overall texture of your skin
- Alliagel TM gives a soft-focus finish to the foundation by leaving a velvety veil over the skin for 16 hours
Now, I have combination skin. It isn’t acne-prone, but as I said at the start, I hate my enlarged pores and I get shiny in the T-zone. Some sheer foundations tend to exacerbate the appearance of imperfections.
Vichy Dermablend 3D Foundation Swatches
There are 5 shades in the range – 15 Opal, 25 Nude, 35 Sand, 45 Gold, 55 Bronze:
My favourite shade is Opal. It is a tiny bit pale, but I actually don’t mind that. I like that really brightened look and I prefer to warm things up with bronzer.
Vichy Dermablend 3D Foundation Before & After
This is so great on enlarged pores. It literally wipes them out in front of my eyes. It feels really light on the skin, sets nicely without powder and lasts well. You only need a light layer to get a lot of coverage, and it is quite weightless on the skin. I like to work this in to a well moisturised skin (it is actually so gorgeous on top of the Tom Ford Radiant Moisture Souffle and I think would work well with any illuminating primer if you wanted a bit more of a glowy finish.
Here it is with all my makeup on, mainly the addition of the wondrous Charlotte Tilbury Instant Palette.
It also makes a perfect base for some serious highlighting, which can sometimes be problematic if you have enlarged pores. You can light up a matte look this way without shining a light on your pores.
Loving this and it’s the perfect option for long days when you want to make sure your skin stays looking good. Great of course for oily skin, but I don’t think it will be too good on drier skins.
Vichy Dermablend 3D Foundation is available to order HERE online. It is currently £14.33 with a recommended normal price of £21.50.
