Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue Review

Who doesn’t love the smell of a man’s aftershave as he walks past? I always think men’s fragrance products linger far better than our ladies ones do. I was delighted therefore to be able to sample the aroma of Versace’s new fragrance for men, Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue.

Donatella Versace describes Dylan Blue as;

“Dylan Blue is the essence of the Versace man today. It’s a fragrance full of character and individuality, an expression of a man’s strength and also his charisma. I love how it takes traditional notes and scents and makes them totally modern, totally fresh for today, and tomorrow. “

The advertising campaign shot by Bruce Weber reflects his. He wanted the campaign to show men can have the qualities of being sensitive and vulnerable whilst also remaining very strong and disciplined- like great athletes – and still fall in love with the girl of their dreams. And for us girls these men have to appear semi-naked to do so, luckily.

The bottle is a timeless design with bright blue and gold. The painted glass used is to allude to the Mediterranean sea. And the Versace Medusa logo, in typical Versace gold, offsets this beautifully. I really like the clean cut design, it’s masculine but still wouldn’t look out of place in the bathroom or make you feel it had to be hidden away.

Scent wise Dylan Blue is what I’d describe as a traditional manly scent. By that, I mean for me it’s how I feel a man should smell, as it’s woody and musky with a hint of citrus. Once I reviewed the ingredients this fit perfectly with what I was experiencing whilst smelling the EDT.

Verscae Pour Homme Dylan Blue is certainly worth considering when next purchasing scent for the men in your life. My brother in law will definitely be happy to receive this as it’s in the family of scents he loves, but I could happily gift this to my Father or any other man I know.
