And if you think the case is bright, then you need to see the pigments. Speaking of which, Urban Decay decided that traditional eyeshadow formulas could not pack an intense enough punch for the high intensity colours they wanted to deliver. Using pressed pigments was the only way for Electric.

I’d say they definitely delivered on colour intensity and the shades are soft and creamy and feature Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System that ensures velvety blendable textures, intense colour and long lasting hold.
Here are the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette swatches:

They are actually even more intense in real life. Top from left to right is:
Revolt – bright metallic silver shimmer with silver glitter (from Anarchy Face Case)
Gonzo – bright turquise matte with floating tonal pearl
Blowburn – bright orange-red matte with floating pearl
Savage – bright hot pink matte
Fringe – bright metallic teal
Bottom from left to right is:
Chaos – bright blue matte with floating tonal pearl (Vice Palette)
Jilted – bright metallics fuchsia with blue shift
Urban – bright metallic purple
Freak – bright green with gold shift
Thrash – bright lime green matte with flating gold pearl
Other than Revolt and Chaos, they are all brand new shades. Now when I first laid eyes on Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, while I was impressed with its visual impact, my immediate thought was that it wasn’t a palette for me. But having played with the colours whilst swatching I realise that there are actually some colours I would definitely wear.
Chaos is 100% my favourite as it really brings out my hazel eyes (will show you soon), closely folowed by Fringe and Urban. Also I have had a little play and Slowburn and Savage make the most beautiful blushes as long as you don’t apply too much. I used the new Wayne Goss No 14 brush and it delivered the perfect amount.
I can’t wait to play more. Funny how first impressions can be deceiving! There’s a really good double ended pigment brush in there, but they also apply amazingly well with fingers.
Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette launches on 1st April 2014 for £38. Find Urban Decay at Debenhams, House of Fraser and Feel Unique.

I heard someone say that certain colours aren’t safe for around the eyes..is that true? :s xx
Some have not been approved by the FDA in the US, but there are no warnings for the EU. I am seeking clarification xx
Wow. This is a really colorful palette, but it’s great for the upcoming season. I think we all need some bright colors by now. I also like the colorful packaging. Looks cool.

Hi Ree, would be great if you could find out more about the safety issue, was concerned about that and it put me off the palette! If you hear more an update would be brilliant and much appreciated. Thanks!
I should have an update on Monday xx
THANK GOD for this!! I’m soooo bored with neutrals. Although I’d probably never be daring enough to wear these colours in the day!!
