Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift isn’t a new product by any stretch but I have been using it quite a bit recently and it is rather interesting. It is described as a a long-wear, moisture-boosting and skin-firming under-eye brightener and line filler. Pretty much everything I want!

I actually first met this product at a Trish McEvoy event at Selfridges where the Trish makeup artists told us about the ‘triangle of light’! This is Trish’s signature ‘move’ as it were and is basically an upside triangle under each eye.

You just apply with the doe-foot applicator then you use your finger, or a brush to blend it in. I chose to pat it into the skin with the Real Techniques pointed foundation brush which I find perfectly shaped for the eye area.

It feels lovely and hydrating on the skin and I think works really well to freshen up the face and get rid of the look of tiredness.

I really do like  how this works on my skin. It creates a lovely smooth and hydrating coverage to minimise the appearance of fine lines and really softens the whole eye area.

In the above shots, I used it over makeup I had been wearing for a good few hours. It does a brilliant job of perking everything up and making you look fresh as a daisy. It layers well over foundation and concealer, although on good skin days, I think I could probably use it instead of both for a no makeup, but super rested look.

The only thing I am not sure about is the price. The tag is pretty hefty at £31 and if you used it everyday, you could go through it pretty quick. Saying that, I really do like what it does so I’d probably invest and save it for days when I really need an extra boost.

You can buy Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift at Selfridges.
