Tom Ford Solar Exposure Swatches & Comparison with Warm Soleil Palette

There’s a brand new Soleil Eye Cheek Palette & I have the photos here. When I first shared the press photo of the newbie, lots of people immediately said they thought that it looked a lot like the TF Soleil Warm Eye and Cheek palette. But it is definitely different – I have swatched them both from pretty much every angle! Check out the Tom Ford Solar Exposure Swatches and then see it compared with the Warm Soleil Palette.

So! There’s no denying that, at first glance, the brand new Tom Ford Soleil Cheek and Eye Palette in Solar Exposure bares some resemblance to the Warm Soleil palette that launched with Tom Ford Winter Soleil 2016 collection.

These Eye & Cheek palettes are incredible and so I am super excited that there’s a new one on the way, and I am happy to share swatches of it here with you.

I have been inundated with queries about Solar Exposure’s similarity to the Warm Winter Soleil palette, so I am going to do a full comparison later in this post, so you can see what is different and work out whether you need this palette. I think it’s safe to say that when it launches HERE on the 27th of January, it will sell out in a flash, so you don’t want to be dithering! Hopefully this will help you to make up your mind.

Tom Ford Solar Exposure Swatches

So before I start comparing, I’ll just show you the swatches of this beautiful palette on its own. The formulation is stunning by the way (maybe even better than the previous palettes?!).

It is a beautiful palette indeed and, as I have said before about the other palettes, probably the most beautiful, most covetable makeup I own.

Please note – in the photo below, the Warm Palette is on the left and Solar exposure is on the right. With all the following swatches, Solar Exposure comes first. I had to swatch the new palette first!

These palettes are similar but they are different. The new one has gold shimmer in the blush, whereas the blush is matte in the warm palette, and also the highlighter is a brighter, cooler tone. Where the shimmer is gold in the warm palette, it tends to be more silver in Solar Exposure. I think that I might actually love Solar Exposure more, if that is even possible!

For all the swatches, Solar Exposure is on the left of the photo, whilst the warm palette swatches will be on the right. I hope that’s clear!

I had so much fun playing with these palettes. Solar Exposure is a truly beautiful addition to the line up. As I said earlier, you’ll need to decide if you want this palette or not, because once it goes online, it will sell like hot cakes. That’s a guarantee.
