But that is where the comparison to lard ends because this is absolutely beautiful. It smells amazingly calming, but it’s only a light fragrance, so no need to panic if you’re averse to strong scents.

I just scoop up a bit of the butter, melt it between my palms (which happens as soon as the warmth of my hands touches it), then massage what has become a clear oil over my face and eyes to lift off the makeup.

It is so gentle and soft that even if it goes into my eyes it doesn’t sting yet it literally melts the makeup away. I then add a little water to emulsify and then remove it with a warm flannel.
If I have been wearing a lot of makeup, or SPF, I tend to repeat the process, and to be fair, I always tend to go for a double cleanse, just in case. On the second cleanse, however, there is no trace of makeup to report, so for fans of one step cleansing, this will certainly do the trick.
INGREDIENTS: Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopherol, Parfum/Fragrance, Aqua/Water/Eau, Linalool, Limonene, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Citric Acid.
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (and ‘sumptuous’ is an apt choice of word) costs £12 and I think it performs extremely well, if not even better, compared with more expensive cleansing balm options. I thoroughly recommend this! It is suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers. Find it HERE.

This looks great! I use coconut oil to remove my make up and I love it. Oils are amazing aren’t they?

Does it contain mineral oil Ree? That really breaks my skin out so I have to be careful with balms.
No mineral oil – I have just updated the post with a list of ingredients
