I have heard a lot of good things about this concealer and so I decided to make a little order and get testing it out. I like it. I like it a lot! Here’s the low down on the new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer with swatches and photos.
Right I should start off by saying that I tried the foundation in this range, and I quite liked it, but I didn’t love it. I only had a sample, but it didn’t make me want to get the full size. I have been chatting on twitter and I heard that the concealer is the star of the line. I literally couldn’t resist and got online and ordered 2 shades.
I bought ‘fair’ and ‘light’ because I wasn’t sure which and there’s nothing worse than risking finding perfection but the shade’s not right! Well obviously there are a lot of worse things, but not when you’re looking for your holy grail concealer.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer Features

- Skin-soothing benefits
- Provides targeted, medium, buildable coverage
- Formulated with concentrated levels of pigments suspended in deep conditioning serum

Yes! This is a multi-purpose concealer to conceal anything you like. So many products are just for blemishes, or just for under the eyes. This one does it all.
I really like the applicator. It reminds me of the wand in the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer which I am a big fan of.

Fair and Light:
Before & After Photos
I decided to go for Fair:
Before:
After:
The texture is really nice – it is fluid and hydrating, and light on the skin. I went with shade Fair and I found it nice and brightening. It feels comfortable on the skin, lasts really well and doesn’t sink into lines or crease, even without a setting powder. Blended out, this is a light layer, but it is pretty buildable if you had a little more to cover.
I really like this. If it offered slightly more coverage in one layer, I would love it. It doesn’t have the creamy, more pigmented quality that I love about the Bobbi Brown Serum Concealer, but it does have the advantage that it lasts longer and doesn’t settle into lines at all. It’s a very good concealer and I think a lot of people are going to love it. I just like something a bit creamier and thicker. Having said that, it is going into my makeup bag if I want coverage that lasts all day. If you find concealer doesn’t last on you that well, you need to check this out.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer is $26 and available to order ONLINE HERE with shipping to the UK.

This looks very nice, the coverage is really good! I do really love my Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer though and, from the looks of this, I don’t think it would quite top it! x

I don’t think there’s as much coverage as Naked Skin – although less creasing I think. I like the UD one a lot xx
What NC or NW are you in MAC?
I am NC25 in the MAC Waterweight foundation. Hope that helps x
