Studio 10 is a fairly new kid on the block but already celebrities and beauty experts are talking about the products they’ve used from Studio 10 and the results they have seen. I’ve been looking at some Studio 10 makeup this week.

A bit of background – Studio 10 was started in 2015 by founder, Grace Fodor. Grace wanted to develop an innovative range of skin perfecting, skin correcting and problem solving, quick fix products.  She had become frustrated with how many lotions and potions were required on a daily basis for people to prepare their skin. So, she wanted to develop a range of multi-tasking products that really worked and delivered visible results for those of us looking to fight the signs of anti-ageing.

Grace has done just that. Together with dermatologists she developed a range of high-performance products, enriched with advanced anti-ageing ingredients, that cover and correct signs of ageing.

Studio 10, although only launched last year, has already graced the pages of many glossy magazines and can be bought through QVC and Marks and Spencer.  Studio 10 has been called “Spanx for the face” and for good reason.

I have been lucky enough to try out a few different pieces of the makeup range from Studio 10. Although, I should point out that Studio 10 want their range to be known not as makeup as such, but more as a Cover, Conceal and Correct range. These products are classic shades which will stand the test of time and give you a flawless, polished, youthful looking complexion.

Let me talk you through my experience of some of the range.

Studio 10 Age Defy Skin Perfector

Studio 10 Makeup Skin Perfector Palette

This is your ultimate prime, correct and conceal palette that you can take anywhere. This palette comes in two shade variations – 01 Fair/Light and 02 Medium/Dark.

In each palette you will find:

  • a primer – to fill in fine lines and enlarged pores and prep skin as a perfect base before foundation
  • green corrector to cancel out redness
  • peach corrector to cancel out dark circles
  • concealer – two concealer shades to cover up fine lines, pigmentation and any imperfections

This palette is such a compact ‘do it all’. It has creamy, easy to blend products in one sturdy palette.

Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner

Studio 10 Makeup Brow Lifting Pencil

This is a really special brow pencil, because it’s in collaboration with the international cancer support charity, Look Good Feel Better.

This double ended brow pencil has a universal defining and shaping shade for filling in and shaping the brow area and the other end is a natural skin coloured highlighter. The highlighter can be used to tidy and sharpen your brow line and as a highlighter on your brow bone.

I don’t usually use a brow pencil but I did have a little go and the shade went well with my dark brows. The pencil is creamy and precise to use.

Studio 10 Age Reverse Perfecting Lipliner

Another multi-purpose product. This double ended lip liner has a universal shade which mimics natural lip colour and a halo nude toned liner at the other end to give a lifted and plumping effect.

There is a technique to using this lip liner, to get the full 3D lip contouring effect, and it’s easy to do.

As I’m not a regular user of lip liner, I used this by lining my lips with the coloured shade end just slightly above my natural lip line, then shaded in all of my lips. I then used the natural tone end to add a very subtle “halo” to the outer edge of my lips.

I was really impressed with how easy this lip liner is to use. It glides on with no dragging and it stayed on all day. I added some clear lip gloss mid afternoon to perk it up and I really like the nude pink tone of this shade.

Studio 10 Plumping Blush Glow-Plexion

Studio 10 Makeup – Plumping Blush Glow- Plexion

A complexion pick me up in a liquid blush form. A lovely flattering peach shade, this liquid can be applied to the apples of your cheeks as you would a normal blusher. Alternatively you can apply to all the points on your face as you would a bronzer.

A little goes a long way with this liquid blush, even if you are using it all over. The results are a lovely glowy, radiant face.  Again this is another multi-tasking product. Not only it is a glow giving blush, it’s packed with plumping ingredients too. These include Adipofill and natural polymers to help absorb excess oils for a natural and long lasting finish.

I really like the youthful perky glow this gave my cheeks.  I looked like I had just got in from a good walk.

Studio 10 Brushes

As well as multi-tasking, hard working products, Studio 10 also make an extensive range of double ended brushes. These brushes are all super soft, high quality and easy to use. I love how clearly they are labelled. These are quality brushes which make light work of blending and buffing in.

My particular favourites are the cheek brush and the eye define.  I use the larger brush end of the cheek brush for applying setting powder to my under eye area.  With the eye define, the rounded end is perfect as an eye liner smudger.

The Studio 10 range is full of quick fix products that will give you not only a primed and perfected base to face the day, but will enhance your natural ageless beauty.
