I am a big Star Wars fan. So, I was intrigued when I heard that they were releasing a fragrance range featuring some of their popular characters from both the Jedi and Dark sides. I thought with Christmas coming up it would make a nice addition to a Star Wars fan’s collection, but is something they could actually use as well! I was sent four of the fragrances in 10ml sizes and a full 50ml size of a fifth scent to trial.

First things first, the packaging is insane! The detail which has gone into the outer packaging is more than I’ve seen from any other perfume company; even the sample 10ml sizes have great detail to them. Usually sample sizes are in plain packaging with clear glass tubes. However, these are in metallic atomisers with the details embossed on them. They are all colour coded too. For example, Rey is in the most beautiful rose gold finish and the outer sleeves all have pencil drawings of the characters on them.

The full sized scent comes in a box made to look like a book. It has an embossed drawing of a Stormtrooper on it. Below is the Galaxy version.

When you open the first page it has the Star Wars logo in silver on the thick black card- turn over the page and one side has the embossed Stormtrooper drawing, the other page explains about Stormtroopers.

Turn the page again and the fragrance is nestled in a black velveteen casing. On packaging alone these all get 10/10!

I’ll run through the five scents I have one by one. On the information I was given it says it’s a unisex range but several of the scents are very clearly masculine.

Star Wars Fragrance Rey

This is a very feminine scent. I absolutely love this smell, it is more fruity than floral but there is definitely a floral undertone. It’s very fresh, so something that would appeal to all age ranges, but especially the younger generation. The fragrance is not over-powering and I could still smell it on my clothes when I checked them the next day, so there is longevity there.

Star Wars Fragrance Galaxy

The quote on the packaging describes this as “A zesty, energetic, woody fragrance with warm and floral spicy notes, representing all that is fearless and heroic”. This description is very true, it is quite a classic scent whilst being fresh at the same time. This would be more suited to someone in their late twenties and upwards; my brother would love this fragrance and he’s mid thirties.

Star Wars Fragrance Revenge

This is a more mature scent. In fact, every time I smell it it makes me think of my dad as this is exactly the sort of scent he used to wear when he was working. It evokes very happy, nostalgic memories for me. Described as “A dominant, spicy, aromatic fragrance with woody dark notes that capture the true essence of the dark side of the force”. I would certainly agree with that description, this is an ideal choice for the more mature man in your life, there is just the slightest reminiscence of Brut about it.

Star Wars Fragrance Droid

I will be describing this from memory as it has currently gone to work with my husband. That’s high praise as he is into designer fragrances such as Hugo Boss or Fahrenheit from Dior, so the fact that he has swiped this means it smells really nice. It is citrussy, fresh and musky at the same time. This would be perfect for teens upwards in my opinion. Happily, the smell lasts. Even after my husband cycled seven miles to work, worked all day and then cycled seven miles home I could still smell it on him. I can see I will have to get him the full size!

Star Wars Fragrance Dark

I really like this, the packaging description reads: “A powerful, dark explosion of mystical notes which permeates the air and encapsulates you in all that is dark and enticing.” There is a lot going on in this fragrance. The notes include- bergamot, spearmint, lavender, patchouli and musk to name just a few.

I am very impressed with this collection. My favourites are definitely Rey and Droid. I will be looking to purchase these two in full size as I love the way they smell. I’m also a fan of the longevity of the scent. These do not fade away easily so no top-ups are required during the day. A great option for the Star Wars fan in your life! Click Here To See Them All.
