My Review of the Space NK Advent Calendar 2023

I get so excited about the Space NK advent calendar because they really know how to do Christmas! We have another beautiful one to look forward to here and once again they have totally raised the bar!

There are so many full sizes and such gorgeous covetable luxury products. I am really impressed. I love the vivid packaging and it’s really heavy because it’s stuffed with goodies. This will of course sell out.

  • I love trying out beauty brands but increasingly feel more uncomfortable with these beauty advent calendars.
    Does anyone else feel bad that all this single use plastic will end up in landfill when the products are used.
    Very little is recyclable and there are hundreds of brands doing these advent calendars with 25 plastic items in each calendar.
    This year I have seen many more beauty brands produce these calendars than last year. The packaging too is an issue with most calendars having a vacuum formed plastic holder for all the products.
    It worries me that just as we need to start reducing consumption we seem to be increasing it.
    Shouldn’t these companies be thinking more sustainably rather than making climate change worse.

    A few people who preordered the calendar this morning have had an email this evening saying the order has been delayed because it’s out of stock. Do you know if this would be a mistaken automated email because it’s not officially in stock until October?

  • Sorry, but really disappointed with this, I find the calendars getting really samey, now, last year I did not even buy the Liberty advent calendar which I have never missed. Holding out for the Cult Beauty reveal but up to now it looks like I will be saving my money this year.

  • Ugh. You know what, I am really disappointed by the ‘disappointed’ replies to this post. To the crybabies/eco warriors: this is not the place. You are not going to save the world by making sanctimonious, moralising comments on a beauty blog. You are entitled to your views, blahblahblah, but please take a moment to ask yourself: who you are really helping? Going around the internet looking for opportunities to throw cold water on other people’s joy—-is that the best way to make the world a better place? Is that going to stop climate change? Is that the mark you want to make on the world?? REALLY???

    Anyway, thank you Ree, for this wonderful post. I appreciate the time that went into providing this information. The advent calendar looks great! I am very tempted…
