I’m not very good at using primer but when it has ‘radiance’ in the name, I suddenly become very interested! Here’s a look at the brand new Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Radiance that offers added skincare benefits as well as makeup prep. BUY IT HERE

I find the look of the product instantly appealing. I love a bit of extra glow and hydration in January to counteract the dryness and dullness.

You can use this after skincare as a primer to add subtle glow or on no-makeup days when your complexion just needs a bit of a lift. You can also use it after makeup on the high points of the face for a more targeted highlight.

It goes on to the skin really smoothly and has a natural looking yet noticeable effect. Makeup goes on nicely on top and I am also looking forward to layering this up for more of a highlighted makeup look. It looks lovely and fresh on lids too.

It doesn’t have a huge effect on pores alone, but once foundation is applied, it gives skin more of a softly perfected look.
