I absolutely love trying out skin bases and Sleek have been bringing out some great products for a good while now, so I was really excited to try this. Here’s my take on the Sleek CC Cream.
For a start the shade range of Sleek CC Creams is a little on the dark side. I have shade Light which is number 2, but I think I would be more suited to shade Fair. The formula does have colour adaptive techology, however, with a bit of blending I think I made it work. Here is shade light blended out on my hand:
As you can see, it actually blends in rather well. So for face, here is the before shot. I am rather freshly over-moisturised so looking shiny!
And here is the Sleek CC Cream shade Light blended with my fingers:
And here it is with a light dusting of powder (Suqqu) over the top:
As it is slightly dark, it does darken my complexion and there is a slight ashy finish I think, but I actually rather like it. It offers good medium coverage which you can build to deal with any blemishes. It conceals redness very well and evens out my skin tone in terms of pigmentation. It also lasts really well and is great if you want all day coverage.
The Sleek CC moisturising formula contains vitamin C to help protect skin against free radical damage and also work on lines, wrinkles and elasticity. There’s SPF 29 for UVA & UVB protection. The best thing is that it is only £8.99 and that if you have darker skin, then you’ll probably find one that suits you as they go quite dark – there fair, light, medium and dark. The dark is one of the darker CC creams I have seen.
