Shiseido is such a beautiful skincare brand and this essence is so easy to slide into any skincare regime. Here’s the lowdown on the Shiseido Eudermine Activating Essence.
What is Shiseido Eudermine Activating Essence?
I love to use an essence, especially when my skin is feeling hydrated or looking tired, and this one is excellent. This product was first created 126 years ago and now the formula has been updated and upgraded.
The Shiseido Eudermine Activating Essence is is a powerful active treatment:
- Liquid formula activating softener
- Designed to prepare and restore skin to its optimal state of balance
- Works to amplify the benefits of serum and cream applied afterwards
- Helps to trigger the skin’s renewal cycle
- Works to improve the appearance of visible pores, blemishes, and dullness
Key Ingredients
- The formula contains 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid to infuse skin with up to 24-hour hydration and support moisture retention
- Vitamin C (Ethyl Ascorbic Acid) – boosts radiance for a bright, even-looking complexion
- Fermented Kefir Extract – prebiotic promotes skin’s turnover cycle and strengthens barrier function

How to use the Shiseido Eudermine Activating Essence
You can use this morning and evening after cleansing. It can be applied on a cotton pad and wiped over the skin, or applied directly to the skin and tapped in with the fingers to increase activation. You can then follow with your serums and moisturisers.

My Review
As I said at the top, I love an essence and I think Shiseido Eudermine Activating Essence perfectly suits my combination skin. I find this super hydrating thanks to its two types of hyaluronic acid. There is also vitamin C which will help to really brighten and even out the complexion.
It has a lovely lightweight texture that sinks in beautifully and gives the skin a lovely smooth and plumped up appearance. It is ideal for adding in an extra layer of hydration into the skin, and all my serums and moisturisers sink in really well when layered on top.
One thing to note is that it does have a noticeable fragrance. I rather like it but if your skin is sensitive to fragranced products, you may want to avoid it.
