What’s in the Rose Inc Modern Essentials Collection?
Collection One, The Modern Essentials Collection* is the first release from Rose Inc. It is a curated selection of skincare and makeup products all in sustainable packaging. The collection includes:
- Softlight Luminous Hydrating Concealer, £23 – available in 20 shades
- Lip Sculpt Enriched Amplifying Color, £19.50 – available in 6 shades
- Brow Renew Enriched Shaping Gel, £19.50 – available in clear and 3 tinted shades

Rose Inc Softlight Luminous Hydrating Concealer
This concealer is designed to brighten, blur and contour in a skin caring formula.
- Longwearing liquid formula
- Minimises the look of fine lines, redness & and discoloration

Rose Inc Brow Renew
The brow product is designed to condition and volumise:
- Conditioning, tinted pomade serum hybrid
- Volumises and grooms in a buidable texture
- Uses squalane, pea sprout and vitamins E and B5 to strengthen
- Smudge-proof, flake-proof formula
- Sets brows in place all day with a natural finish
- Available in clear and 4 shades
Rose Inc Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Colour
- Hydrating cream blush
- Brightens and blurs
- Pigment-rich formula infused with skincare
- Contains squalane, vitamin E, and marine ferment extract
- Longwearing and buildable texture
- Can be applied with fingertips or a brush
- Can be also be applied to lips
- Refillable compact

How to refill the Rose Inc Blush Divine
- Use a safety pin to poke through one hole beneath the cheek compact to release the pan.
- Use or wash out any remaining product and place the pan into a recycling bin
- Open the refill packaging and remove the new pan, placing outer package into a recycling bin
- Centre the new pan in the cheek compact, aligning the magnets to secure it in place.
Rose Inc Modern Essentials Makeup Brushes
There are two brushes in this Rose Inc Modern Essentials Collection:
- Number 1 Concealer Brush
- Number 2 Blush Brush
Rose Inc Radiant Reveal Brightening Serum
This is a hydrating serum designed to impart visible radiance:
- Softens and plumps
- Has a smooth, light-reflecting texture
- Promises a more even skin tone
- Quick-absorbing formula
- Contains a weightless blend of squalane, vitamin C, sea fennel extract and Sodium hyaluronate
- Use 1-2 pumps over cleansed face and neck
Rose Inc Skin Resolution Clarifying Toner
- An alcohol-free daily toner
- Designed to purify, exfoliate and brighten
- Gentle blend of acids including Salicylic,Mandelic, lactic, glycolic, tartaric and pyruvic (less than 10%)
- Squalane to moisturise
- Pink clay powder: Detoxifies
- Clarifies pores without stripping skin of moisture
- Delivers smooth, radiant results
My Rose Inc Modern Essentials Review
This is really quite an interesting collection with a fairly eclectic mix of products. Everything is heavy on Squalane which is good to see because it’s such a hydrating ingredient.
In fact, the company that provides the proprietary science for Rose Inc, Amyris, is actually the biotechnology company behind Biossance. Biossance are all about the squalane.
Skincare
I haven’t had long enough to test out the skincare products properly, however, I have tried them a few times now. My first impressions are that the Skin Resolution Clarifying Toner is super gentle yet has a nice smoothing and illuminating effect on the skin.
Also the Radiance Reveal serum feels very hydrating and gives a nice instant glow. I’ll let you know if I have any updates on those.
The Concealer
I really like the texture of the Rose Inc Softlight Luminous Hydrating Concealer. It is creamy, and blends out well for a dewy, medium coverage that still allows you to see skin.
The shade I have, which is LX020, is a little bit on the Apricot side for me, but with a bit of blending, I can make it work. It’s actually pretty good on shadows and discolouration around the eyes.
This is the only shade I’ve seen, out of the full range of 20, so it’s hard to comment on which ones I think will be more suitable.
The Brow Gel
The Rose Inc Brow Renew is pretty easy to use for nice, fluffy volumised brows. I actually really like the tinted in shade Fill 04 to add depth and dimension.
The formula holds well but doesn’t leave the hairs crispy or sticky which is a win for me. I also like the fact that it has skincare in to help strengthen the brow hairs.
The Blush Divine
I love these lip and cheek colours. They have a really glossy, emollient texture and are easy to blend. The formula smooths out over the skin really nicely with fingertips or a brush and leaves a lovely wash of colour in a nice dewy finish.
It’s gorgeous smudged into the lips and gives a lovely glowing blurred effect that just looks so fresh and healthy.
The Makeup Brushes
There are 2 brushes in the Rose Inc Modern Essentials collection and both are really nice. If think this comes down to whether you are a brush person or not as both the concealer and blush can be blended with fingers. The concealer brush reminds me a lot of the Hourglass one.
