We have another new mascara from Rimmel , however, this one is a little different because it claims to actually make your lashes darker, gradually over time. Here are the details on the brand new Rimmel Volume Colourist Mascara.

I road tested this yesterday and got on really well. There was no flaking or smudging and my lashes stayed in place very well. I like how lengthening it is and it really curls the lashes up and out. It isn’t quite as volumising as I expected, but I do like the results and it was very light and comfortable to wear. I like the brush too – it allows you to place your lashes where you want them and pulls and stretches them out.
As my lashes are dark already, I can’t really test how effective the tint is, but I’d be very interested to see how it works on blonde lashes.

Bought this after seeing good reviews. I am very dissapointed! Not bad as a mascara, but im blond and it hasnt darkened my eyelashes at all!,
ah that’s a shame. Some people have had really good results. Maybe keep going
Fair haired too and after wearing this every day for a month my eyelashes haven’t tinted at all

I’m a really colourless lashed strawberry blonde. I use jojoba oil on a damp cotton wool pad to take off the mascara. It hasn’t tinted my lashes at all after daily use for a month, sadly. I resorted to tinting my lashes as usual, but I’ll be interested to see if the tint lasts longer than a month which is usually how long it takes before I get the ‘you look really tired’ comments when, even with mascara, I get when my roots are pale.
Same. Sad I wasted my money, I only bought this because it seemed to have good reviews and I am a natural blonde with long lashes no one can see. I just stopped using it after 5 weeks, there was absolutely no tinting of my lashes at all and after only an hour the mascara itself smudges under my eyes, I was constantly peeking in a mirror and wiping under my lower lids. Very disappointing, usually Rimmel products deliver on their promises but not in this case.
