Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation is all about shine control and a long lasting finish but with a super light and fresh texture and feel. It has a mousse texture with gel emulsifiers so that it blends seamlessly into the skin.
It comes in 6 shades – here’s a look at 201 Classic Beige:

I used the amount I swatched to cover my whole face, so a little goes a long way. The coverage is very good and is easily buildable to full on coverage for those that like something moving towards the heavy side. It does feel very light, and I wouldn’t feel the need to use powder with this as it does certainly mattify, but without making you look dead. I’d call it a velvet finish.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation shade range:
Light Porcelain 010
Ivory 100
True Ivory 103
Soft Beige 200
Classic Beige 201
Natural Beige 400
Although I am more of a glow lover, I actually really like this as I think it still allows the natural luminosity of the skin to shine through. This is definitely one I’d go for on a red lip day for an uber flawless finish.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation costs £5.99 (bargain!) and is available HERE.

I’ve heard that their previous Stay Matte foundation oxidizes and becomes darker. Does this happen with this one? xx
I didn’t notice it getting darker 🙂
I’ve tried this and love it. I still use a matte powder not that it’s needed in the slightest. It’s so light and I find perfect for hot sunny summer days x
Ree, you have the prettiest coloured eyes! I suppose the foundation looks nice too 😉 haha!
ha ha thank you! xxx
