One of the new launches I have received recently are the new Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gels.  We all love a good brow product these days don’t we?  But embarking on brow ‘styling’ is actually a bit of a risk if you don’t know what you’re doing. I have made many mistakes in my time and so I’m always keen to try out simple one-step products that do the work for you.

So there are actually four different varieties of the Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel as the range also includes a clear gel. I have it but I think you know what that looks like!

Although I do like to use a pencil for my brows, I find that I often can get carried away and end up with big slugs – it takes a good eye to know when to stop. A 2-in-1 product like this really helps because it is pretty impossible to overdo it.  The Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gels have colour to add depth and definition, and also the gel to set everything in place.

Obviously blonde is too light for me so I tested out Medium Brown and Dark Brown. The medium shade is on the warm side and dark brown is a lot more cool-toned.

Here is dark on the left side of the photo and medium on the right.

I think both work but I am definitely feeling the dark brown more. My top tip is to scrape off some of the product into the neck of the tube before you apply as the brush does pick up quick a lot of product. Allow the gel to set and you’re ready to go.

I wore this yesterday in the sweltering heat and it survived really rather well!

  • These look really good! Just a quick Q- I know they dont have fibres in or anything- but how would you say these compare to benefits gimme bro? I have quite sparse brows so I tend to fill them in with powder but its so time consuming when i’m in a rush! Thats why I liked the look of gimme brow buts its pricey for something so small! Do you think these would give you enough coverage without powder? Love your blog XXXX

    • I haven’t tried the Benefit one yet but it is in my To Do Box so will get on to it as soon as I can. I think the Rimmel one is great if you’re on a budget and the pigment does seem out the gaps xx
