I have to admit, my instant reaction to the idea of the Ultimate Suede Lipsticks from Revlon was …oooh glam! I am not sure why, but the idea of suede on my lips just appeals. In fact, the absolute gorgeousness of the Armani Lip Maestros sprung to mind.
They are all about a semi-matte, powder like finish with hours of staying power.

Here’s the low-down – Ultimate Suede has Revlon’s ColorStay technology, plus a cocktail of moisturisers including shea butter, aloe and vitamin E. So whilst the finish is on trend semi-matte, the formula should feel conditioned and moisturised.

It feels creamy as you apply it, the colour pay-off is excellent and once you blot, there is practically no colour transfer. I have heard mixed reviews on these so far with people loving them, and some people finding them drying.
I think that because I am more used to glossy textures, my lips do feel a bit dry but I don’t think they actually are dry, it is just the powdery finish of the suede effect…if you know what I mean!

The colour lasts really well and so if you were feeling the need for a bit of sheen, you could pop a bit of balm over and still enjoy the shade.
I really like them, particularly the shade I have worn, Finale 095. I think it looks polished and high quality, and if semi-matte is wear I need to be, I am going there!

Oooh I’ll have to try them – My lips do get quite dry so will have to feed back on what I think, they don’t look drying at all though, they look really silky and sheen! 🙂
I totally agree i think this kind of texture its not the actual lipstick thats drying its just the texture on your lips it wont be drying because of all the ingredients
