You’re invited!
I have been chatting to all my beauty junkie friends on Instagram for a while about starting a private Facebook group and it’s finally happening. I want it to be the place that we can all share our beauty stories, our knowledge and our photos. Somewhere we can take all that conversation to the next level. I am calling it the REESON Beauty Facebook Group because we all have a different REASON why we love beauty.
What will the REESON Beauty Private Facebook Group be about?
Really, we can make this anything we want it to be. I have called it REESON, because the beauty world, with makeup and skincare and all its other treasures, has been my reason for so many things I have ended up doing in my life, and I thought it was a fun play on words!
I have loads of beauty stories I can share about how I got into the industry after my main career as a recruitment consultant for many years. I feel like lots of you will really identify with all the little ins and outs of my beauty story. But I don’t want this to be just about me. I’d love to hear your stories!
My hope for the REESON Beauty Private Facebook Group is that we can all delve deeper, connect more, share more, and ask more questions.
What I have learnt from my time with the beauty world on the internet, is that it is all about conversation and sharing stories. When you’re a blogger like me, it can be a bit one sided! It feels a bit ME ME ME and I rarely get to hear your stories, or see your swatches, or find out what your new favourite thing is!
I get lots of requests for individual swatches – and if I have the shade, I end up sending them to whoever asked for it over Direct Message on Instagram, but I often wonder how many other people that swatch could help out.
Instead of sending the swatch to one person, now I can post those photos in the REESON group and you could add your swatches/insights/reviews/feedback too. And if you wanted input from any of your friends, you could ask them to join the conversation too. It could be like the ‘behind the scenes’ of a blog review! I’d love to hear suggestions about the kind of things you’d like to see there!
I’m so excited that we now have the REESON Beauty group where we can call get together to chat beauty.
Discontinued Beauty Products
I have started off the conversation with something that got an overwhelming response in Instagram last week: DISCONTINUED BEAUTY PRODUCTS!
Wow, I was reminded of so many gems, and will be sharing lots of the products we all miss over there on the REESON Group, so we can lament and cry (!) and maybe find the next best thing.
Plus, I have so many beauty memories that I have forgotten most of them! I reckon all your memories will help to jog mine and anyone else that cares to join in!!
So we know we are all pretty obsessed with Beauty Advent Calendars (this post will be updated very soon), and I think that the REESON Group will be the perfect place to share the inside scoop on what’s happening this year. You’re all amazing beauty detectives too, so we can ALL share what we have found out and make sure we’re all up to date!
Why is it a Private Facebook Group?
I have decided to make REESON a private group because I think that beauty and our memories of it can be so personal and often emotional, and I don’t want you to feel like you’re just pouring your heart out to the whole internet. Also that way, you don’t need to worry about how professional the pics you share look! That part really appeals to me as photography is not my strength!! Let’s keep it nice and cosy!
What if you don’t have Facebook?
Of course, if you don’t have Facebook and don’t want to join, you can still always find me here on the blog and over on Instagram. Business as usual!
