I popped along to a Piz Buin sun care launch yesterday to find out about a new formula of sun care that is going to make people want to use it more. The newest product is Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch Fluid available for the body and face.

The new Piz Buin Ultra Light formula employs a super light texture, rapid absorption technology and micro-spheres which deliver a dry touch feel for silky, smooth skin. It is also sweat and water resistant and enriched with Vitamin E to prevent sun induced premature skin ageing.

Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch  Face Fluid Sun Care
The Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch Face Fluid that has been designed to wear daily under your makeup without clogging pores, provoking a breakout, or messing up the finish of your cosmetics. Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr Sam Bunting was at the launch and shared this interesting statistic: Most people rack up 14 hours of casual UV exposure per week.

The face is the most exposed part of our body and it makes sense to protect it all year round, not only for health reasons and but also for vanity reasons – to avoid brown spots, broken capillaries and wrinkles. The hope is that this new super light formulation meets the demands for sun care to have cosmetic elegance and we’ll actually be happy to use it.
I am going to test it under my makeup and update this post when I have. I must say though, having played with the fluid I feel fairly confident that the texture is ideal as a primer with a soft matte finish and it is practically undetectable on the skin. Also the nozzle makes for easy application – no squirty sun cream going everywhere.
New Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch Sun Fluid (£16.99) and Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch Face Fluid (£11.99) is available now in SPF 15 and 30. Dr Sam Bunting recommends a a minimum of SPF 30 is used daily on exposed skin to protect against both skin cancer and premature ageing. Sam looks absolutely amazing so I would always follow her advice!
