Oh my goodness! Pat McGrath palettes are so exciting and I think this one is super beautiful. Check out the Pat Mcgrath Mthrshp Sublime Golden Opulence which is full of golden taupes, rich bronzes and velvety plums. It is right up my alley! I have photos and swatches for you here.

What is Pat Mcgrath Mthrshp Sublime Golden Opulence?

This release is a six shade limited edition palette designed to celebrate the Lunar New Year. There are some absolutely beautiful shimmers, including a signature Pat gold that I am completely obsessed with. Also, there are two gorgeous matte shades to work with.

• Eternal Opulence – metallic pale peach
• Tranquility – neutral peach matte
• Lotus Luxe – shimmering rouge
• Prosperity – nude pink matte
• Moonphase – glittering rose
• Gold Fortune – antiquated metallic gold

I love that this is such a wearable palette. Pat is famous for her dramatic, edgy shades in extreme finishes but they can be a little daunting for the average makeup wearer and are perhaps more suited to editorial shoots. This palette is soft yet decadent and, of course, the quality is really good.

As I said, I love this shade selection. It’s super wearable but still striking because the shades are so nicely formulated. They are densely pigmented, soft and smooth. Lovely to work with. Also, for something a bit more low key, the matte Prosperity shade is just perfect for a quick one shade look.

The packaging is really beautiful but a tad impractical because it doesn’t stay open very well on it’s own. This makes it hard to use the mirror. But I have plenty of mirrors so I think I can let it off!!
