No7 Airbrush Away Review
I was really excited to try this new primer from No7. Firstly because I love No7 products, secondly because of its promise to put uneven skin tone, fine lines and pores into soft focus, and thirdly because I can still feel the pain of disappointment from my inability to get on with Nanoblur. Check that review out here.
To be fair to Nanoblur, I haven’t given it another go yet as I promised to, but that is probably because I can still feel the dryness of it on my skin!! But I know that others rave about it so I will give it another go at some point! Maybe in the Spring.
But right now I have to say I am loving No7’s Airbrush Away. This is me wearing it on New Year’s Eve underneath my Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation.

Now I love this foundation anyway but if I show you a photo of me wearing it without the Airbrush Away, I think you’ll see the difference.

Skin appears much more matte, my open pores are less visible, my skin tone is more even and I really do look more flawless. What do you think?
Now I never got this far with Nanoblur because I found it too uncomfortable and couldn’t imagine it under makeup. This product, however, is really comfortable, easy to apply, and dare I say it, even moisturising!! My makeup lasted beautifully all night …and even looked pretty flawless when I woke up the next morning…ooooops! It was New Year’s Eve after all!!!
Here is a pre-makeup shot for you to compare what it looks like with no makeup. The left side of the photo has the Airbrush Away applied, and the right side does not.

No7 Airbrush Away Review
I could really see the difference and so I think this would be a great Spring and Summer product, and would be fab for people that like to go ‘au naturale’.
It’s fairly pricey, £19.50 for 30mls but I would advise just applying it to the areas that need a bit of help to make the tube last longer.

And I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle product (none of this “look 100 years younger in half a nanosecond” business) but I think it’s a brilliant primer that does what it says on the tin. It really perfects what you have and makes foundation perform amazingly.

Have you tried it yet? If you are interested in more info on the actual makeup I used, I shall be posting about that soon.

  • Ohh I bought this today and can’t wait to try it tomorrow! I have tried a few primers but hopefully this will beat them all!

I also bought Nanoblur and only tried it once as it was very drying and my foundation (powder) seemed a little patchy over the dryness.

Thanks for the review – you can really see the difference, but you have great skin anyway! 😀

  • I tried nanoblur two times and couldn’t get on with it on either. In fact I could say something extremely vulgar about the consistency and the way it sits on the skin. But I won’t. Because I’m not like that.

  • Oh no!!! Ha ha!! I think I get it! maybe!!

I really didn’t get on with it but so many makeup artists love it that I WILL try again…at some point!

  • ink the trick to Nanoblur is to moisturise, wait five mins then apply foundation (if liquid) wait for it to dry, then pat nano blur on to face…do not rub it in as it will mess up the foundation, alternatively if you use powder instead of liquid foundation, pat nanoblur onto face, let it dry before applying powder….do not rub face as it makes the pwder go funny! i havent tried No 7 and was trying to find reviews of both so i copuld see which was better. with the Nanoblur i only use a little bit around my mouth (smokers lines) and forehead to “blur” the lines. No 7 Airbrush seems easier and quicker to use so will give it a go!

  • Yes nanoblur advise now to put on over foundation. I just put it in certain areas. I dont really like to the fact you put it on over foundation. its not really a primer. also, lines around my eyes, it did seem to dry this area and some looked worse! I might try this airbrush. ive used gosh and i want to try the accessorize one as they are clear gel and feel really silkly (silicone i would imagine)
