Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Concentrated Hand Cream is a complete classic when it comes to looking after winter skin. It is probably one of the first hand creams I actually tried, and while other products come and go, there is pretty much always a tube of it in our house.
When I was approached by the Neutrogena® team to work with them, I wondered to myself what was new to say about this heritage product, but it all became clear very quickly because something very beautiful has happened. It is too cute.
Neutrogena® has partnered with Oslo-based design duo, Darling Clementine, to give the packaging a new wintry look and I am completely in love with what they have done. There is absolutely no question that Norwegian Formula is one of the most effective hand creams available on the market, but I never thought I could feel like this about it!
How gorgeous is the design? It’s all about the dainty charm of Norwegian heritage, and Darling Clementine have transformed the previously medical-looking tubes of cream into little works of art. Never have I wanted to carry one in my handbag more.
Look at this Christmassy Nordic twist the girls at Darling Clementine gave to my logo – isn’t it fun!
I live with a hand cream connoisseur and there is always a tube of this stuff in my house. This has a lot to do with the heritage of the product. In case you don’t know, the creation of Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® was inspired by the hardships of Norwegian fisherman who had to face the harshest of weather conditions and extreme work toll on their hands, which became intensely dry, cracked and painful.
My partner is a plasterer and for many years has identified with this story, as his hands also fall victim to the extremes of his job. He has been buying Norwegian Formula for as long as he has been working, and even though as a blogger I get sent enough hand cream to sink a ship, he still buys it. He is a hand cream expert and tries lots of the products I get sent, but he says that none of them work as well. If you know a plasterer, get them on it!
Since I received these pretty little tubes to test, I have been using it again. I had kind of forgotten how amazing it is. In a sea of new products launching every minute of every day, it has truly stood the test of time. It uses a 40% Glycerin formulation which draws in moisture from the air, and the skin’s natural reserves to keep hand soft, smooth and comfortable. It works.
The new Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Limited Edition Concentrated Hand Cream is out now until around February 2016. If you haven’t ever tried, now’s the perfect time. For more info, check out the Neutrogena website.
