After writing a post about my first trip out with my gorge new Lulu Guinness clutch, I had a few requests over twitter, and here on the blog. to tell you about my current skincare regime. So this is me doing just that! You can find out about the makeup in this look here.
I’ll keep it simple and tell it like it is!

ReallyRee – Current Skincare Regime
  • Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser for Dry and Very Dry Sensitive skin at Boots – massaged in and rinsed off in the shower
  • Eve Taylor Aromatherapy Balancing Toner with Rose Otto and Neroli – sprayed directly on to face and excess wiped off with a cotton pad.
  • 1-2  pumps of Dermaquest Skin Therapy Advanced B5 Serum – left to sink in
  • Origins Plantscription Anti-aging Eye Treatment
  • Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream
  • Origins Modern Friction, once a week
  • Philips Reaura, at Space NK.

With the exception of the last 2 points, I do this twice a day, the only difference being that at night I wipe the Avene cleanser off with damp cotton wall. You’ll notice that I am using a night cream during the day at the moment as well. This is because, not only am I a sucker for a real thick moisturiser but also because my skin is quite a lot drier than normal at the moment as I am trialling the Philips Reaura. Philips ReAura
I have using the Philips Reaura properly now for about 6 weeks and the plan is to use it for 12 weeks – so I’m about half way there!!
It’s pretty hardcore. The laser delivers minor injuries to the dermis which forces it to quickly repair itself. I can’t get any more scientific than that because I’ll get bored but what we are looking at is firmness, lines and pigmentation.
I look quite sunburned after but I use the Dermaquest Skin Therapy Advanced B5 Serum and it takes the sting right out of it. I get less red now than when I first started using it. I wouldn’t particularly recommend the after care that Philips provide. I think you need a dermal hydrator like the B5 to really help maintain hydration levels, as the treatment does tend to dry the skin out.
Now I don’t know about anyone else – but I think it’s working! My skin is definitely firmer and has come out with top scores in a couple of elasticity tests I’ve had done. My pigmentation is much less obvious and my lines appear softer.
Overall I am just looking fresher and getting quite a few compliments on my skin. I’m only half way through the course so time will tell!!
And so that’s it! I love these products although I’ll be moving on soon as I have a pile of other reviews that need to be done – but that’s the exciting life of a beauty blogger! I’ll be sticking with the B5 throughout the laser treatment.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I shall be more than happy to answer them.
