Monika Blunder Beauty Blunder Cover Swatches
I have four of the fourteen shades to show you here.
2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4:
Before & After Photos
The shades are pretty flexible, and I can use 2.5 as an all over shade, or use it just under the eyes, with 3.5 all over if I want a tiny bit more warmth. Also, I quite like mixing the two shades together, but to be completely honest, either work really well on their own.

My Review
There has been lots of hype about this foundation-concealer hybrid and I get it. It’s a really easy to use, versatile product that feels nice on the skin and gives a lovely finish.
I love the way you can adjust the coverage depending on how you apply it. I tend to use a fluffy brush to lightly buff all over the face (I don’t have the brush that’s designed to apply Blunder Cover*), and then use my fingers to apply to the areas where I want more coverage.
I don’t know how different using the dedicated brush would make it to apply as a foundation, but I think finger application is the key to using the product as a concealer.
I love the Monika Blunder Beauty Blunder Cover texture. It is soft, creamy and easy to blend. If feels really comfortable on the skin and the finish is very softly velvet with a natural luminosity.
It gives the look of flawlessness, but you can still see skin, which I like.
If you are a bit worried about the pot getting messing and grimy, Monika suggest spraying with an alcohol mist and gently wiping the surface to keep it in nice condition.
Is it good for dry / mature skin types?
Thanks to its moisturising and softening agents like aloe and edelweiss, this makes for a lovely base for drier skin types. It doesn’t attach itself to dry skin and tends to smooth over the surface really well.
It performs very nicely under the eyes and resists settling into lines and wrinkles
Is it good for oily skin types?
I am combination with an oilier t-zone and I found it lasted with just a little more shine over the day, but not a greasy look. If you were particularly oily, I imagine a light dusting of setting powder would do the trick.
Is it hard to blend?
I find this is really easy to blend with both fingers and a fluffy brush.
Is it long lasting?
I didn’t set it with powder, and just used the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer on top, and found that it lasted really well all day. A little shine came through on my t-zone (I am combination), but it was nothing crazy and still looked good.
It also stayed looking smooth and creaseless on my drier areas and around the eyes, which I was really happy with.
What other products does it compare to?
It’s not completely re-inventing the wheel, as there are a few products already in the market that can be used this way. However, in terms of coverage, I’d say it sits in between Glossier Stretch, and the KVD Beauty Good Apple foundation.
I’d say that Good Apple has about twice the pigment of Blunder Cover, so if you are looking for something that’s more on the natural skin finish side with buildability, then I’d say this really ticks the box.

Hi Ree,
Thanks for the review. You used 2.5 on the picture, was 3 too dark for you ? I ask as we have the same skin color but I am afraid 2.5 will be a little too light during summer.
Kind regards, Louise
hi there!! 3 works really well too. It is better all over, and 2.5 is good for under eyes. But if I had to choose one I’d probably go for 3. Does that help?? xxx
Thanks Ree, I’d go for 3 !
