Models Own Makeup Review

Models Own have had a few makeup products as part of their brand for a while, but they recently relaunched the brand new Models Own Makeup Collection with a huge 500 makeup products! All of the products are fun to use and there isn’t a typical beauty product in sight! There are so many products, each with bright and bold colours, which makes them great fun to experiment with.

The packaging is in true Models Own style with the boxes having a dreamy, brightly coloured, ombre theme with white writing throughout. The compacts are gorgeous with white and metallic packaging and all of them are super sleek too. If you are looking for some colourful makeup products to add to your collection, you need these from Models Own- I have been really enjoying playing around with them!

The Sweet Dreams Eyeshadow Palette is one of my favourite products so far. I usually keep it very simple when it comes to eyeshadow but I had been playing around with the pick ‘n’ mix candy shades and was so surprised at how much I liked the change! In the pans the eyeshadows look scary but on the eyes they look much more wearable. My two favourite shades are Dolly Mix and Toffee. Dolly Mix is a stunning bright blue which I have loved using on the lower lash line and Toffee is a bronze metallic shade which looks stunning on the lid with a matte shade in the crease.

For lip products there are lots of things to try and the Lip Gunks are my favourite! I have two shades, 08 Wild which is a true red and 06 Fusion which is a stunning metallic blue/purple shade.

All of the Lip Gunk sets come with the lip paint, lip brush as well as a mixing tray complete in a tiny bag. With these you can either create an intense bold lip or a lighter wash of colour and you can also mix different shades to make your own!

The Luxestick in 19 Plush Peony has a velvet matte finish and is greatly pigmented. These lipsticks are housed in stunning packaging with a magnetic closure with a square sliver and white packaging.

For face products my two favourite products are the Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter in 02 Rose Gold and the Sculpt & Glow Matte Bronzing Powder in 02 Deep Tan. I like to use the liquid highlighter on my cheek bones under my foundation to add a natural glow as it is slightly too dark for my skin tone to be worn on top of foundation. The Matte Bronzing Powder is in the shade Deep Tan but it isn’t too deep and is perfect to add some warmth to my pale skin. I love that it has a matte finish too while it doesn’t leave the skin looking powdery.
