Misslyn is a brand new brand to me and I instantly fell in love with the packaging of this collection. The Pop Up Your Makeup Collection has pop-art themed packaging with five products in this collection, I have been using four of the products I have almost daily! What I like about Misslyn is that they are a pretty affordable brand with each of these products being under £9 each.
Misslyn Stay With Me! Matte Fixing Spray
I love setting sprays, I find that they can completely change how a foundation wears throughout the day and as I have oily skin at the moment, I was in need of the Stay With Me! Matte Fixing Spray. This has much smaller packaging than many of my setting sprays but is a great size at 50ml. This setting spray is suitable for sensitive skin and will help improve the durability of makeup and help ensure it looks fresh no matter what time of day it is.
I have to say, I do really like this for keeping the skin matte, although it doesn’t prolong my makeup longer than a few hours, which is still pretty impressive. I also like to use it to refresh my makeup throughout the day and it makes a big difference. The spray on this is fantastic as it releases a fine mist that doesn’t soak the face and ruin my makeup. It’s great for when I apply too much powder as it helps smooth out the skin and my base makeup.
Misslyn Glow for It! Strobing Powder
The Glow for It! Strobing Powder is the perfect highlighter to add a luminosity to the skin rather than an intense glow. I love the effect this gives as it is perfect to add a healthy glow and to perk up tired looking skin. This sits beautifully on the skin as it doesn’t enhance any of my texture and looks very natural. I find it best to apply this with a fan brush for the best results but I do like to touch it up throughout the day.
Misslyn Beach Please Bronzing & Contouring Powder
The Beach Please Bronzing & Contouring Powder is available in four shades and I have been wearing No. 51 Holiday Hooray. This is such a great shade to add a healthy bronzed effect to my pale skin tone without looking muddy. This is a smooth bronzer that applies effortlessly to the skin, it looks very natural and I do notice that it has a smoothing effect on the skin.
Misslyn Treat Me Sweet Powder Blush
The Treat Me Sweet Powder Blush is available in six shades and I have No. 48 Be My Blush Crush! This shade is described as a natural nude tone, again perfect for paler skin tones. This is a lighter shade so I don’t think I would able to wear it when I have on fake tan but for my skin colour now it is gorgeous! It is one of those blushes which I don’t have to worry about what eye shadow or lip colour I am wearing as it goes with everything.
I am so impressed with the formulations of these three powders, they are incredibly soft to the touch and easy to apply. Both the blush and bronzer are pretty long lasting on the skin whereas the highlighter does sometimes need a reapplication towards the early evening. I also like that inside each of the products is a mirror for on the go applications.
Misslyn products are available at Beauty Bay.
