Maybelline are on a roll! They are masters of affordable, good quality makeup and they pretty much dominate this market when it comes to mascara. I am already quite a fan of the
Maybelline Rocket Volum’ Express mascara and so was really excited to test out the latest addition, Maybelline Volum Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara.

| Maybelline Volum Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review – Lower Lashes Brush |
So, as you’ll have noticed this is a 2 step mascara but it is one with a bit of a difference. We have one brush for the upper lashes and one brush for the lower lashes – the formula is the same but the application is different.
It’s like getting 2 for the price of one and the dual wand system means that you are able to create a 360 degree full circle lash effect which hopefully will make your eyes look bigger – hence the name Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara.

The Upper Lashes wand is created to be a push up brush and has its bristles wrapped around the wand in a spiral to push lashes up and out for a volumised fan effect. The Lower Lashes brush is a ‘lash-sculpting mini brush which is small enough to coat the lower lashes with mascara perfectly and really open up the eyes. It’s a lovely nifty little brush that does a great job without smudging.
Here’s a shot for comparison:

Maybelline Volum Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara formula is lovely. It glides onto the lashes coating them with a “thickening polymer” that lifts and holds each lash.
It’s another great mascara from Maybelline. No flaking or smudging so it stays looking great!
Maybelline Volum Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara will launch here in the UK in January 2014 for £8.99. Keep an eye on
Boots and
Superdrug.

I have been waiting for an affordable lower lash wand to come out! I am in Australia so hopefully this makes it’s way down under soon!

I like how it has two brushes, one for up and one for down. You can see a difference in the before and after which is good 🙂

Great post/review I really want to give this a whirl, currently using their falsies mascara but this with the added bonus of a lower lash wand is a winner. Can’t wait to get my hands on it! Thanks.

Oh wowee! I really want to try this – Especially now I’m starting to use less product on my lower lashes! (There was once a day where my bottom lashes looked more voluminous than my top ones it was a big nono!) Xx

I would say DO NOT try this mascara. I thought it would be a really well working mascara because it is so cute and not that cheap (where I live I bought it for $10)… I was definitely disappointed. It did nothing what so ever for me. Instead, it gave me clumpy, stuck together lashes that were so difficult and frustrating to work with after this mascara was applied. I used it 5 different times hoping for a better outcome but it was still a horrible mascara.
I like it more for lower lashes for upper lashes we have much better mascaras in town already
