Right! The latest foundation to join the Maybelline portfolio is the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation Review and I am putting this straight out there, I knew I liked it within about 30 seconds from when I started to apply it. I think that for £8.99 it is absolutely brilliant for what I want for my skin right now. Here’s a look at it for you.

So before I show you any pictures of it on, let me tell you a bit about what Maybelline are going for here. Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation is being marketed as a multi-tasking foundation that ‘helps’ (!) to provide instant, flawless coverage for up to 13 hours (apparently this claim has been tested on 104 women.)
This promises to be a long wearing and skin improving foundation that has a combination of provitamin B5, Magnesium, Copper and Zinc. It has glycerin to attract moisture for hydration and radiance – I can definitely feel the hydration.
Better Skin claims to reduce the appearance of the visible effects of stress including bumps, dullness and redness, add brightness and give the skin a long lasting glow.
A bit more on the technology soon but are are some skin photos for you:

I really love this finish. There’s something about it that reminds me of YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation in terms of it velvety matte finish but without such a serum-y creay texture and maybe not quite as much glow. Although the finish flawless is luminous I’d say.
For a closer comparison, here is the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation applied to just one half of my face (left as you see it):

It is very natural looking, whilst softly mattifying and very skin perfecting. I am really very impressed! For £8.99 you really cannot do wrong. It also feel incredibly hydrating and my skin is super soft to the touch.
Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation has Flex techology (Flex resin and Flex wax) to adapt to the skin’s movement so that it never feels heavy or tight. In my opinion, this is working! It also has elastomer cushioning technology and glycerine for moisturised skin. Apparently the colour will stay true throughout the day, coverage will stay looking natural, it will absorb oil and also diffuse light.
I haven’t tested it for more than a few hours, but it has the feel on my skin that suggests to me it will stay put, much like my beloved YSL Youth Liberator Foundation. Remember, this is £8.99.
I think this is a seriously good value, high performance yet natural yet flawless looking foundation. It is going to be a huge hit! I’d imagine there’s afiar bit of L’Oreal Luxe technology at play here.
Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation (£8.99) comes in 8 shades, mine is 021 Nude. It has SPF20. There is also a matching SuperStay Better Skin Concealer (£5.99) that I haven’t yet tried. It launches Jaunary 2014 – keep an eye on Boots and Superdrug.

Didn’t like it at all. And the reason is that it comes off too easily. I have a white desk and I can see my finger stains all over it…
It looks brilliant on your skin but I don’t think I will be try it as, as stupid as this, I don’t really like the packaging. I think it looks cheap.
