Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Review

I have a real soft spot for Maybelline mascaras so I didn’t hesitate to pick this one up when I was in New York last week. I tried it and loved it, and when I got home I found it was everywhere! There’s a massive ad campaign for this mascara so you will probably have noticed it too. I am so glad that Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is here in the UK already because it is brilliant (and pretty cheap too).

My favourite Maybelline Mascara is The Rocket which I think is so good, but I have to say, I think this one out-performs it.

Now apparently there’s a technique for getting the best out of this mascara that involves a little phrase called “Learn the turn!”
“1) Step 1: Use inner bristles to capture even the tiniest lashes 2) Step 2: Turn the brush around. Use outer bristles to volumise the look of longer lashes”.

I have literally only just read that as I am writing up this review, so I think that although these steps may maximise the results, you can pretty much apply it any way you like and still get a great effect. It is super black, gives the lashes a good curl and is very lengthening.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – Before & After
Before:

Applied to one eye (guess which!!?):

After:

It’s really effective, I love how black it is, and the best part is that you can achieve such a difference in just one quick coat. Great! There has been a tiny bit of flaking by the end of the day but seriously nothing I can’t cope with and certainly not a deal breaker.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is available now and you can pick it up for just £5.99 at Boots which is a serious bargain. Boots is currently running an offer on Maybelline makeup so now might be a good time to try it.

That looks amazing. My lashes are so short and pretty sparse so anything that can vamp them up in a single coat is a winner. On a No-buy first quarter but this is going on my list of April purchases.

I’ve just got this mascara as well and really love it! I’m pleasantly surprised at how great it is at making my stumpy lashes long and fluttery.
