Maybelline’s colour themes are all about the power balance between brights and pastels this summer, and they are both looking pretty good from where I am standing! I love the Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour formula – it is super shiny and glossy, SO easy to apply and it often looks like I’ve had a professional paint job!

The top 2 brights are from the Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour Mega Watts line up, which includes Pink Volt, Lime Me Up and Orange Punch. The super pretty blue is from Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour Pastels. That one is Uptown Blue and there’s another very pretty pastel pink called Pink in the Park.

I absolutely adore the brushes on these polishes. They are really fat and perfectly tapered – you can cover the whole nail in one swipe which is absolutely brilliant for if you’re rushing and also if, like me, you’re not that great at painting your nails.

And here are my swatches for you. I’ll start off the Mega Watt shades. First up is Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour Mega Watt in Lime Me Up:

And although I do love my brights, I am a sucker for a pastel blue, and the Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour Pastels in Uptown Blue is seriously doing it for me!

As I said I absolutely adore the formula of these polishes. They are so shiny that you could skip top coat, although if you want to get the 7 days out of them, I’d recommend using one.
