Right everyone! I have been playing with the Maybelline FIT Me! Collection and I have to say, I am really rather impressed. I have lots and lots of pictures for you including before, after and half and half photos so keep on reading.

Maybelline FIT Me Foundation Review |
The samples of the Maybelline FIT Me foundation, concealer and powder were actually a little dark for my skin so I used a lot of blending and zero bronzer. I have shade 225 Medium Buff. Here is the collection:

OK so down to business. I think most of you like to see before and after pics so that is what I’ve got. This is me with no makeup, just clean moisturised skin.

Maybelline FIT Me Review – Before Photo |
I used my Real Techniques Core Collection buffing brush to apply the foundation from my hand on to half of my face. Here is the foundation on the hand I worked from:

I buffed the foundation on to half of my face (for your viewing pleasure). You can see it here on the left side of the photo.

As you can see, it a little dark for me but you can still get a good idea of the coverage. It leaves a very light feeling, dewy finish which blends easily to even out the skin tone.
Here’s a closer shot of the half and half:

You can see that it disguises the enlarged pores below my eye and neutralises the high colour on my eyelids. Hello spot! I haven’t seen one of you for a while!
Now for the full face! Phewph! I don’t want to look at more pores and redness any more!

It is still looking a bit dark but once the other makeup is done, it will be fine as you see in the first pic.
Next for the Maybelline FIT Me Concealer. I just applied under the eyes, around the nose, on my freak spot (post detox) on any redness and darker freckles.

I really like this concealer. It is smooth and creamy and not at all cakey. It covers the imperfections but still allows your skin to shine through.
Next the powder. I just lightly dusted it on to the t-zone with a big fluffy brush.

Maybelline FIT Me Powder |
The difference between this pic and the last is nearly imperceptible – a testament to just how good this powder is! It is so light and non-cakey that it is perfect to blot away shine but still allow the skin and foundation to glow. Just what I want – a powder that let’s you stay dewy without going deathly matte!
Add some cheeks, eyes and lips and we’re good to go (ie. top pic!). I really, really like this stuff. It feels light yet covers imperfections really well and makes the skin look super radiant. This is thanks to Maybelline’s FIT Me formula that is a gel foundation with no waxes or fillers.
The glow comes from the fact that the pigment is liquid rather than powder and a “spherical polymer network
which helps scatter light away from the face to create a natural smooth appearance on the skin”.
I actually think it has an awful lot in common with YSL’s Teint Touche Eclat foundation but has a bit more coverage. And for £7.99 that really is an amazing comparison to make. The powder and concealer are £5.99 each.
So I hope that was helpful. Please do let me know if you have any questions.
