I love trying out affordable foundations because it’s such a treat to find one that levels up against the high end numbers. There are so many amazing foundations around at the moment and an absolute tonne of expensive fluid, lightweight ones. I have to say, I didn’t expect to like the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation but I really do. It’s good!

I have the shade Sand which I thought would be way too dark as I am always more of an ivory these days, but it actually worked out once applied to my face as you will see.

It’s a runny texture- quite a lot like the Diorskin Nude Air but not quite as runny. It doesn’t run away like the Dior and has a slightly thicker texture.

The dropper is a solid one, it isn’t a pipette and it is supposed to just drop a dose on to your finger to apply. I actually dabbed it on to my hand and then used a buffing brush to apply it to my face.

It has a silky feel, but is very, very light and actually makes my skin feel soft and smooth, not quite as soft and smooth as the Dior but not that far away from it.

See? Sand worked out and I really didn’t think it would! It’s a lovely light finish that covers redness and completely evens out my skin tone. As I said, I didn’t expect to like this but I really do. And it is only £8.99 which is really impressive. If you are looking for a very affordable and effective fluid foundation then I don’t think you can beat this really. It definitely delivers and I am impressed!
