So last week I told you all about the brand new foundation from Max Factor, Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation.

It is a long wear foundation that contains a primer, concealer and a foundation made to keep you looking beautiful all day long.
Max Factor sent me to Bestival to put Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation through its paces and here is how I got on!  To read more about the formulation, click here to go to my original post.

Following the lovely Caroline Barnes’ instructions, I applied the foundation before I set up. Caroline says to “apply with a brush around your T zone then blend the edges into the sides of your face or use the warmth of your fingertips to apply. Use a small brush to layer up and perfect.”
Here was my first go. Apologies for picture quality – my camera got nicked!! But don’t worry I have a better quality shot coming up!

Here I am wearing a full face of Max Factor! Obviously the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation Review (shade 55) but also:
  • Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink (14)
  • Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Shadow in Bronze Haze
  • Max Factor Colour Xpert Waterproof Eyeliner in Metallic Turquoise
  • Max Factor False Lash Effect 24 Mascara in Black
  • Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour in 55
I was very pleased! As you can see, the finish of the foundation is matte but there is still a real luminosity to it, particularly across the cheekbones.
And it delivers on the long lasting front. It stays put without flaking or drying and by bed time it there was still a good coverage, perhaps a little wear, but much less than a regular foundation. I did have photos to show you but, as I said, the blooming camera was stolen!!

Again you can really see how luminous the matte finish is. That is Max Factor Lipfinity in shade 10 and I have Max Factor Max Effect Nail Polish in Candy Blue on my nails. Love a bit of blue, although it doesn’t look like a candy colour to me!!

Later I pulled my hair back and went for a graphic eye liner look with the Max Factor Waterproof Eyeliner in Metallic Turquoise and Metallic Lilac.

And while we’re on the topic of the Max Factor Colour Xpert Waterproof Eyeliners, I have to say they are really long lasting. In fact, I decided that being at a festival was a good excuse to get creative with them and I came up with this!

This lasted all day and all night and I had to remove it with my Bobbi Brown Longwear makeup remover in the morning. Yeah!! I slept with it!! Rock and Roll! Ahem….
On the final day I went for a real natural look and I think this is where you can really appreciate the natural, luminous look of the foundation.

It really is lovely and glowy don’t you think?! I really do love the natural look especially if you can get your skin glowing. Otherwise it can look a bit dull. I loved this look.
And just to prove that Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation isn’t just for festivals -here I am, more at home, wearing it for a lovely dinner at the Ivy.

I didn’t need to use powder with it at all as it sets itself and stays looking good for hours. Big thumbs up!
