I was super excited to test this new Marc Jacobs mascara as I love Velvet Noir. Here’s the low down on the newest lash launch from the brand, the Marc Jacobs Beauty At Lash’d Lengthening and Curling Mascara. I have before and after photos for you.
First of all, I absolutely adore this sleek packaging design! The black and gold stripes are super cute, and I don’t think I have any other makep product that looks quite like it.
What does Marc Jacobs Beauty At Lash’d Mascara Do?
Considering that Velvet Noir* is such a great mascara, I was so interested to learn what this newbie offers. This one is all about defined length, whereas VN is about lots of volume.
- Longwear, lengthening and curling mascara
- Deisgned to deliver highly defined, full extension lash look
- instant length and curl, plus ultra-defined volume
- Vegan formula features lash conditioners Biotin Peptide and Provitamin B5
- Texture is lightweight and buildable
- Flexible finish so that lashes don’t look crunchy
- Flake and smudge resistant
- Wand has wavy bristles designed to evenly coat every lash
- Available at Harvey Nichols* for £25
I really like the wand on this mascara, it is long and slim, and really makes catching each lash very easy.
Also, the formula stays nice and flexible on the lashes, even after a few hours, which means you can add more if you want to increase the drama later on in the day. I find a lot of mascaras, even some of my faves, don’t top up that easily so this is a major bonus.
The formula is super black and really stretches out the lashes for a lovely false lash effect. Actually, I was wearing this on stories much earlier in the week and didn’t make any reference to it, yet got questions about what was on my lashes. It really does give visible length and definition. The lashes stay in place and look lovely and fluttery all day.
Marc Jacobs Beauty At Lash’d Mascara Before & After Photos
So this is always the best part isn’t it? The before and afters!
This photo is with nothing on the lashes:
So here is one coat on one eye:
And then two good coats on the same eye:
And here it is all evened up:
I think this is a really good mascara, and as I said earlier in the post, I like it even more because you can add an extra layer severals hours after without the brush dragging, or the finish getting clumpy. It is nice and long-wearing too.
I tested it during quite a sweaty session on the Peloton (my new obsession) and it stayed put. There was a teeny smudge where I wiped my eye, but other than that, my lashes still looked long and curled. I’m very happy with that!
Where to buy it
The new At Lash’d Mascara is £25 and available exclusively at Harvey Nichols*.
