Malin + Goetz Tobacco Candle

A candle fragranced with tobacco isn’t one I’d usually reach for, but since I have learnt (a little bit) more about fragrance I have begun to appreciate the wonder of tobacco leaf as a gorgeously deep base note. The Malin + Goetz Tobacco candle is absolutely beautiful!

It has a lovely subtle sweetness of vanilla and honey which lightens and smooths the smokiness of tobacco and woods, making it a candle that I think will have an all round appeal. Here’s a list of all the ingredients:
Top notes: Basil and Rye;
Middle notes: Chestnut Honey and Ylang Ylang;
Base notes of Tobacco Leaves, Guaiacwood and Bourbon Vanilla
The candle itself is a natural blend of beeswax, vegetable and soy waxes and offers a clean slow burn. I had it burning for a good few hours at the weekend and it has barely dented the surface. It promises 60 hours in total which is brilliant for a 9oz candle. It now Tuesday and my living room still smells lovely!

This sounds like a real interesting one, I’d initially be put off by the name but on reading your review I’m actually intrigued. Great burn time too!

Tobacco isn’t a conventional fragrance at all, I never would’ve gone for it but Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille and The Body Shop’s Tobacco Flower range changed all that, so I definitely want to get my hands on this candle!
