You probably know that I absolutely love foundation so I was thrilled to try Makeup Forever Face & Body especially as Makeup Forever is launching here in the UK at Debenhams. There are hundreds and hundreds of positive reviews on this foundation on Sephora, so I was really keen to give it a go!

Makeup Forever Face & Body Foundation Features
So this is a super light foundation formula:
- Liquid-gel texture
- Light, fresh natural finish
- Evens out the complexion
- Long-lasting and water-resistant formula
- Suitable for all skin types including mature and problem skin

I tend to prefer creamier textures when it comes to foundation, so I when I first pumped this out, I wasn’t sure that I’d be a fan, but I found it quite surprising.

It is runny, but it doesn’t run off my hand, which makes things pretty convenient. I used the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush to apply. This is what it looks like after I have dipped my brush into it.

As promised the texture is super light and it feels super quenching on the skin. It kind of melts it as it applies and has an instant smoothing effect on the skin. It is really buildable in terms of coverage, and you can keep applying until you are happy, but it doesn’t ever get cakey looking. You can build lots of invisible layers to achieve the result you want. It isn’t full coverage I don’t think, but will definitely make skin look better.
I really like this. It feels really refreshing so I think it will be perfect for summer, especially as it stands up very well in heat and humidity and is a long-wearing formula. It is SPF free so I’ll use after sunscreen in the day and it’s perfect for evenings alone, as there’ll be no flashback. It also give the skin a perfect glow and real healthy skin look. Yay!

Can’t wait for this. Can I ask if you were you happy with the shade you used? (It does look lovely!) I am pretty much the same colouring as you, but after looking at the swatches online, thought I would have been shade 38. So hard to tell. Thanks x
Well! When I first saw it, I thought it looked way too pink, and even when it was on my hand, it was still really pink. But it just seemed to blend in perfectly with my natural skin tone. I was surprised. When I looked online I actually thought I would have picked 20 Ivory or 38 like you.
The shade seems to adapt quite well so I’d imagine that there isn’t much in it. Hope that helps! xx
Do you have any ideas about the pricing vs the US?
not at the moment. Will update when I do
