I have been so excited to try out the new CC Creams from MAC. Finding beautiful bases has literally been a lifetime obsession and I always expect good, serious things from MAC so my hopes were really high. The MAC Prep+Prime CC line up includes a whole range of colour correcting products that each enhance and perfect different skin tones. I have MAC Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF30 which is a creamy, tinted primer that evens out skin tone.

I applied the MAC Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF30 in shade Adjust over my face with my fingers and then gently buffed it in with my gorgeous and very new Wayne Goss Number No 10 brush from The Face Set. The brush worked it into the skin beautifully.

I really do like this. The coverage is very light in both apperance and feel but it is really perfecting too and makes my skin feel juicy and velvety smooth. I’d just want to add a little concealer and I’d be set.
Here’s the before picture so that you can compare:

My skin is is fairly good at the moment but I am still really impressed with the difference. Lines and pores are minimised, the skin tone is more even and redness is concealed. It looks like there is nothing on my skin at all. I can’t wait to use this as a primer under foundation and see what kind of results I get.
I have heard some chatter that the MAC CC Cream is actually the MAC Fortified Skin Enhancer re-packaged, but I have never tried it so can’t comment. I don’t actually care because it woudn’t be the first time that an old product fits the requirements of a new category. And if it is Fortified Skin Enhancer then that really was a very good product, ahead of its time.
Find MAC Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting range HERE. The cream is £23 and the powders are £20.

This sounds really interesting! Feel like I haven’t bought anything from MAC in a while! Im currently loving Bourjois’s cc cream! Its lovely! I have just recently written a review over on my blog.

I just bought the neutralize shade today and am hoping I can get away with wearing it alone with blush. I hate the idea of putting 2 layers of anything on my face, that’s just a personal neurotic thing. So, here’s hoping for a luminous face!
